KeymasterIt’s really tough Dana.
That’s why I’m asking for help. When you think you’ve got a good one, let’s hear it, and let’s scrutinize.

ParticipantI got my head knocked into the wall at my indoor game and had a beer, but here goes:
Possession soccer: an attractive style of football identified by a team of highly technical and tactically intelligent players that adhere to and execute the team philosophy of controlling the game and creating excellent opportunities to score by unbalancing and breaking down the opponent’s defense with often-numerous simple passes and tactical player movement and defending in a coordinated, high pressure, and swarming manner to minimize opponent possession and opportunities.
Did I get enough 3four3 buzzwords in 🙂

ParticipantI thought you actually nailed it in the 3four3 blog Gary, with a few of my own words in the beginning:
A style of football that builds speed of thought and quickness of coordinated activity which values control of the ball and the methodical, calculated destruction of the other team.
I wrote it down when I read it because it was so good– to me teams that play football this way are applying calculus or advanced literary criticism while so many others are attempting geometry or general knowledge reading. Methodical. Calculated. Destruction.

ParticipantPossession soccer, it’s like bringing a machine gun to a knife fight.
Possession soccer, it’s like bringing Stephen Hawking to the 6th grade science fair.
Possession soccer, the foundation of the beautiful game through the advancement of the individual’s technical and tactical knowledge in structured team enviorment.

Participantpossession football is all about creating time and space to penetrate the gaps left by the opposition in a calculated efficient manner of keep ball.
ABOUT AS GOOD AS I CAN DO.

Participanti usually oversimplify, sometimes not in a good way…
“controlling the ball and the game with confidence, skill and intelligence through simultaneous and synchronized movement.”
